LEALAND, MICHIGAN ON THE LEELANAU PENINSULA

Leland is a picturesque little village located on a sliver of land between Lake Michigan and Lake Leelanau, on beautiful Leelanau Peninsula.


This is the walkway from Main Street to Fishtown. We didn't take pictures this time as we were there last fall. This is Leland's historical district which has rustic shanties and docks that take you back to the life and commercial fishing of over 100 years ago. Now, there are galleries, shops, and restaurants in the shanties. Lake Michigan is in the background.


This street is just one block from Main Street away from the water.

These old fashioned plantings can be seen all along the village streets along with spring flowering plants like the one below.
