FINAL PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT

Walter and George (next to Walter) won the Pickle Ball Tournament. They were two happy guys. Below are the competitors.

Walter and George in action.

Below are the spectators watching the "Finals." Can you see two cheer-leading pompoms made out of grocery bags by our two Quebecois - JoAnn and Andre - an inventive team.

WUBIE

There is Wubie trying to read over my shoulder! It is late March 2010 and he is 3 1/2 years old. He loves watching the birds from this back window or snoozing there in early morning when he can lay in the sunshine.

All stretched out on our bed which is one of his favorite places to sleep. His sleepy eyes open just a bit for the camera. Is that an annoyed look that I'm seeing?

FLOODS AND VERY COLD WEATHER

We had a late December through late March where our temperatures--day and night--were 10-15 degrees below normal. Apparently, the coldest winter on record in the Ft. Myers area. Above is a picture of the damage done to our palm tree and how our yard looks in the dry season.

Our site on the right. Our bikes are under cover at the front end of our RV. Another palm tree struggling to survive the cold.

On March 22, we had a torrential rainfall. This is our backyard under water. The water came almost to the back of our RV. Below, the debris line can be seen. Many of the streets in the RV Park were also flooded. This is usually the dry season, but this year we received quite a bit of rain along with the cold weather.

THE LIGHTHOUSE RESTAURANT FOR VALENTINES

It was cold on Valentine's Day. A look at the marina where tours in estuaries and the bay.

Above the front view of the restaurant. The food is excellent and there are great views of the Bay in the backside of the restaurant. Below is the marina side view from the Lighthouse Restaurant.

BLAZING SUNSET FROM OUR FORT MYERS BEACH PLACE

We can get the most unusual sunsets from pink to purple. These two grew to blood red and as you can see in these photos developed into shades of red, orange, and yellow.
