We decided earlier this year to find an area of the country to spend our Summers in our RV home. After getting two wonderful introductions to the Grand Traverse bay area by two of our RV friends from Michigan, and especially our dear Gulf Waters neighbors from Cadillac Michigan, we settled on this wonderful area.
Grand Traverse Bay has natural beauty, mild Summers, very rich culture, 18 wineries, fantastic restaurants, the famous Interlochen Center for the Performing Arts and more. It has everything we would dream of for a Summer location.
The center of the Grand Traverse Bay area is half-way between the Equator and the North Pole at the 45th parallel, and is surrounded by most of the largest bodies of fresh water in the World.
