Looking down towards the famous Timberline Lodge - A Works Progress Administration Project that has provided access to Mt. Hood for generations since its completion in 1937.

In front of the Timberline. At President Roosevelt's dedication, it was said of the project that the Timberline is the people's lodge and everyone's success story. It was the government coming together to put people back to work after the depression, not only to help our citizens, but to build up America for future generations.
