PUERTO JUAREZ CAMPGROUND

As has been often the case, the caravan left by 7:30 am. These early departures are one of the sources of cumulative stress in this caravan. We must set the wake up alarm for no later than 6:00 am to follow together with other rigs behind the wagon master. Today's drive is a straight shot to Cancun, passing through congested streets rarely seen by the tourists flying in to the hotel strip, or those in cruise ships. Double click the picture below to see our GPS trace for the North Caribbean coast of Yucatan.
We arrive in Puerto Juarez, North of Cancun, and close to the ferry docks for Isla Mujeres.

This afternoon we were the first rig to arrive in the campground, but the wagon master waved us to a site by the main entrance and with hookups on the wrong side of the rig. We should have asked for a more appropriate place and left that main entry road site for a more compact RV behind us. Later the wagon mistress (?) warned us that we should close the bedroom slide to avoid getting hit by other passing rigs!

We never did see the tourist Cancun.
